Bernie Brown is a self-taught pencil artist born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada. Bernie was a junior high school art and physical education teacher. In 1989 he gave up teaching and became a full time artist. In 1993, Bernie and his family moved from Swift Current to Okotoks, Alberta.
Bernie's love of the prairies is seen in each of his drawing. His work depicts farm, prairie, wildlife, ranch. and rodeo scenes. Although most of his drawings are black and white, he does infuse some with watercolors to accent some of his images.
Less than three weeks until Sunday May 12th and Mother's Day. We are hoping spring will be in full swing by then and we can enjoy the outdoors.
