An original Bix 6 team from the 1926 inaugural season. The fans at Joe Louis area are some of the most hockey knowledgeable in the league. Detroit people are huge hockey fans and have had a great team to follow for over twenty years. After a 25 year playoff streak record they missed the playoffs in 2017.
Many hockey great played in Detroit but none as well known and respected as Canadian Gordie Howe. Other greats include Terry Sawchuk, Alex Delvecchio, Sergei Fedorov, Niklas Lidstrom, Steve Yzerman, and Pavel Datsyuk.
The Detroit franchise has 11 Stanley Cups on the resume and they would like to get back to form to win another Cup.
