We are getting ready for the biggest sale of the year. We have organized our warehouse and work space. Bernie Brown is a self-taught pencil artist born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada. Bernie was a junior high school art and physical education teacher. In 1989 he gave up teaching and became a full time artist. In 1993, Bernie and his family moved from Swift Current to Okotoks, Alberta.
Bernie's love of the prairies is seen in each of his drawing. His work depicts farm, prairie, wildlife, ranch. and rodeo scenes. Although most of his drawings are black and white, he does infuse some with watercolors to accent some of his images.
Dan Reid was a self-taught Western Canadian artist who spent all of his life on the prairies. Dan was able to realistically capture the essence of life on the prairies with his deft stroke with oil paints. His collection of works include prairie harvests, grain elevators, farmyards, trains, and antique and classic cars. Dan was a gregarious man who traveled to art, car, and train shows across Alberta and Saskatchewan. He enjoyed meeting with people listening and telling stories. Sadly, Dan passed away last year but his legacy will live on through his extensive collection of artwork which capture his love of the prairies and classic cards. Jeremy was born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1974. At the age of 12 his family moved to Sherwood Park, Alberta. He now resides in Abbotsford B.C. Jeremy is a self taught artist. He started drawing at nine when he was gifted a "Learn to Draw" book by his parents. He played hockey when he was growing up. While studying at the University of Alberta, he discovered sports like rock climbing, sky diving, inline boarding and surfing. This lead to a love of the outdoors and travelling.
